Public Engagement

This phase of engagement closed Monday, July 24 at noon.

KFPL asked the community for feedback on proposed changes to hours of operation at the Rideau Heights Branch.  Two open house events were held on Wednesday, July 12 and Friday, July 14, and patrons were invited to submit feedback forms or reach out by telephone or email. A final report summarizing the feedback received and outlining the final recommendations is now available.

The proposed hours of operation include an increase of eight hours per week, with the new hours on days when the library is currently closed. 

Recommended Hours of Operation

• Monday  10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Tuesday  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Wednesday  10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Thursday  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Friday  9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Saturday  9 a.m. to 5 p.m

The final recommendations were presented to the KFPL Board at a special meeting on Thursday, August 10, and were approved.
