Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) will begin consultation on its Code of Conduct Policy in the summer of 2024. As we work to update our policy, we invite you to share your thoughts, ideas, and feedback. Your contributions will help ensure updates to the Code of Conduct Policy reflect the needs and values of our communities.
Timeline
KFPL we will be exploring best practices in the library sector and listening to feedback from our communities while we update the policy in 2024.
June 2024: Public survey
July 2024: Engagement sessions
September 25, 2024: 1st draft for review at Library Board meeting
October 2024: Engagement on draft policy
November 27, 2024: Approval at Library Board meeting
Get Involved
Your involvement is key to shaping the future of our KFPL's Code of Conduct. Explore the various ways you can contribute:
Take the KFPL Patron Code of Conduct Policy Survey
Data from the survey will be reviewed by the KFPL Code of Conduct Working Group and will inform potential changes to the policy. Contributors will be entered in a voluntary random draw for a $50 gift card to their coffee shop of choice.
Attend Public Pop-Up Feedback Sessions
Stop by and chat with staff about the Patron Code of Conduct Policy update.
