Due to the scope and nature of the work, closure of the building is the safest and most cost-effective way to complete the project. The last day the Isabel Turner Branch will be open is October 24, 2024. The temporary location at the Cataraqui Centre will open on November 1, 2024.

Library Services
Starting November 1, visit us on the Lower Level of the Cataraqui Centre at our newest temporary location, while we renovate the Isabel Turner Branch.
Here are some key details about the temporary branch:
- The temporary space is located on the Lower Level of the Cataraqui Centre.
- The Cataraqui Centre Branch will not have an external book drop, so please check branch hours before visiting. Remember items can be returned at other library branches.
- The temporary branch will offer a browsing collection and access to patron reservations, computers (three public computers and one accessible computer), and scanning services.
- The branch will include a curated collection focusing on new and popular materials. Materials from across the KFPL system can be reserved online or with the help of staff and delivered to this location.
- Programs will not be offered at the temporary Cataraqui Centre Branch. To serve the West End community, we are providing extra programs at the Calvin Park Branch (including Play to Learn and Uke Can Do It!), PA Day programming and class visits. In addition, KFPL has partnered with EarlyON to offer early years programming at Baybridge P.S. (Mondays) and the Invista Centre (Wednesdays).
- Due to space constraints, study spaces will not be available at this location.
